ND Sober Ride, a Vision Zero program aimed at reducing impaired driving on North Dakota roads, will offer $10 ride vouchers through Lyft and Uber Oct. 29–31, or while codes last.“Halloween is a time for fun, but impaired driving puts everyone at risk,” said Kelly Aberle, impaired driving program manager for the North Dakota Department of Transportation. “ND Sober Ride gives people another option to get home safely, and we encourage everyone to make a sober ride part of their plans.”Vision Zero encourages riders to scan the QR code and save the voucher in their preferred app before drinking or using impairing substances. Visit VisionZero.ND.gov to access QR codes, the Uber voucher link and the Lyft ride code. A limited number of vouchers will be available each morning during the campaign, while supplies last. If vouchers are unavailable, check back the following morning and arrange another sober ride for your current trip. Codes are unique to each campaign and may be used once per user.
